Description
Who likes to know the story behind an image?
Making memories is fun.
This one I think is very special and different as it looks like a negative but really is a positive image.
I made this during a power outage, the entire town was blacked out for 5 hours and I took a wander in search of the different shot. Trees covered in hoar frost look beautiful at anytime this one looks spooky as the only illumination is from a friend’s car headlights.
I was all set up on a tripod and realised the flash light I had with me would not have enough power for the image I had in mind. Most people in town know me as the eccentric who goes out at all hours to capture the unique; this is when my friend stopped to ask what I was doing.
I told him it is hard to explain but if he followed my directions with the use of his headlights I would soon show him. After repositioning the vehicle a few times and agreed coordinated hand signals from me for lights on lights off, our in sync choreography work to capture this one off image.
